Information

Angie makes a range of tableware in reds, greens and white on-glaze decoration. She first designed and made earthenware tableware in tin glaze with on-glaze decoration. Her influences are lustreware from Alan Caiger-Smith and early European Faience ware.
She exhibited in Cambridge in 1980’s & 1990’s using porcelain clays making elemental forms of the sea, shells, waves and fire.

When she moved to Monmouth in 1998 she specialised in raku lighting, gaining a grant to design and fire a new type of S shaped wood fired kiln.

She exported lighting made from a series of individually thrown sphere shapes and stacked up onto a wooden base.

Since her appointment as ceramicist in residence at New Brewery Arts she is using porcelain clay for figures, lidded jars and handled bowls. She is also using high-fired stoneware to make a range of planters and lights for use inside and out.
